NeighborSource Verification
Verification badges help show when specific provider information has been reviewed.
Verification applies only to the item shown
NeighborSource may review certain information submitted by a provider and display a badge when that specific information has been verified.
For example, a provider with a Phone Verified badge has had their phone information reviewed. That does not automatically mean their business, license, insurance, or other information has also been verified.
What each badge means
Only badges actually shown on a provider's profile should be considered verified.
Phone Verified
The provider's submitted phone number has been reviewed or confirmed through NeighborSource's verification process.
This does not confirm the provider's identity, business status, licensing, insurance, or quality of work.
Business Verified
Information supporting the existence or identity of the listed business has been reviewed.
This does not mean every statement made by the business has been independently verified.
License Verified
License information associated with the provider has been reviewed when a license is applicable to the service.
Licensing requirements vary by profession, service, and jurisdiction. Users should still confirm current license status when it matters for the work.
Insurance Verified
Insurance information provided for the listing has been reviewed.
Coverage can change, expire, contain exclusions, or apply differently depending on the work being performed. Confirm current coverage directly when needed.
A badge is not a guarantee
Lack of a badge does not automatically mean something is wrong
Some providers may not have completed any NeighborSource verification steps yet.
A provider without verification badges may still be a legitimate and capable local service provider. The absence of a badge simply means NeighborSource is not displaying that specific verification.

Verification information may be added to your listing
If NeighborSource requests documentation or confirmation related to your listing, the information is used to determine whether an applicable verification badge can be displayed.
Verification status can change if information expires, becomes outdated, or can no longer be confirmed.
